4 New BTC Price Targets Predict Bitcoin Surpassing $124K by New Year

The latest price predictions all converge on Bitcoin reaching six figures, solidifying its position as a dominant force in the financial world over the next year.

On Dec. 5, Bitcoin made headlines by crossing the $100,000 mark for the first time. Reaching an all-time high of $103,800, it also achieved a remarkable $2-trillion market capitalization.

Now, market analysts are setting their sights on the future, exploring just how far BTC/USD can climb. Below are some of the most notable predictions for Bitcoin’s price by the end of 2024 and beyond.

Bitcoin Price Predictions Unanimous on Six Figures

The latest price predictions all converge on Bitcoin reaching six figures, solidifying its position as a dominant force in the financial world over the next year.

On Dec. 5, Bitcoin made headlines by crossing the $100,000 mark for the first time. Reaching an all-time high of $103,800, it also achieved a remarkable $2-trillion market capitalization.

Now, market analysts are setting their sights on the future, exploring just how far BTC/USD can climb. Below are some of the most notable predictions for Bitcoin’s price by the end of 2024 and beyond.

ARK Invest: $124,000 BTC Price Minimum

Renowned asset management firm ARK Invest continues to showcase bullish research on Bitcoin, predicting BTC/USD to rise by at least 25%.

In a November report, which featured contributions from Puell Multiple creator David Puell, ARK set a minimum price target of $124,000.

“If Bitcoin follows either the historical average or halving year averages by December’s end, its 2024 performance multiple could range between 2.48x and 2.94x, potentially placing its price between ~$104,000 and ~$124,000,” the report noted.

ARK emphasized the critical role of institutional demand in propelling Bitcoin’s price higher this year.

“Should institutions continue adopting Bitcoin and the U.S. government explore adding BTC to strategic reserves, we foresee a robust close to 2024 and sustained momentum into 2025,” the analysis concluded.

On Dec. 5, David Puell posted on X, confirming that Bitcoin had already reached the lower boundary of ARK’s forecast range.

Traders Eye Levels Toward $140,000

Crypto traders are equally optimistic, with many forecasting new heights for Bitcoin.

One trader, Jelle, identified $130,000 as a potential target.

On Dec. 5, Jelle shared a chart on X showing Bitcoin breaking out of a bullish pennant pattern formed in early November.

“This bullish pennant has a target of $130,000,” Jelle explained, confirming the breakout with the comment, “Send it higher.”

Similarly, trader Aksel Kibar proposed $137,000 as Bitcoin’s next significant peak, dismissing $100,000 as a level of little technical or psychological importance.

Prediction Markets See Bitcoin “Breakout Rally”

The broader market consensus also leans toward continued growth for Bitcoin.

According to prediction platform Kalshi, the aggregated year-end 2024 price target for BTC is $128,000.

“There is now even a 10% chance of Bitcoin surpassing $150,000 by year-end,” noted The Kobeissi Letter, highlighting a $50,000 increase in expectations over the past month.

“Prediction markets are signaling a breakout rally,” the analysis added.

However, when it comes to exceptionally high numbers, such as $250,000, prediction platform Polymarket assigns only a 2% likelihood of Bitcoin reaching that milestone.

Bitcoin’s recent surge past $100,000 has reignited enthusiasm in its long-term prospects. With analysts, traders, and markets aligning on six-figure targets, the next year could mark yet another defining chapter in the cryptocurrency’s journey.
