Strategy’s Michael Saylor Teases Another Bitcoin Buy Amid Market Dip

Michael Saylor, co-founder of Strategy, has hinted that the company may soon take advantage of the recent Bitcoin price pullback following its peak of $112,000 on May 22.

“I only invest in Bitcoin with funds I can afford to lose,” Saylor posted to his 4.3 million followers on X, subtly suggesting more BTC acquisitions may be on the horizon.

The firm’s latest addition of 7,390 BTC on May 19—worth nearly $765 million—pushed Strategy’s total Bitcoin reserves to 576,230 BTC.

If another purchase is confirmed on May 26, it would mark Strategy’s seventh straight week of BTC accumulation.

Now firmly associated with Bitcoin, Strategy continues to amass the digital asset as a core treasury reserve, influencing other companies to follow suit and helping drive institutional demand, which supports Bitcoin’s market strength.

Could Strategy Become a $10 Trillion Giant Thanks to Bitcoin?

According to market analyst Jeff Walton, Strategy could one day top the global rankings as the most valuable publicly traded company, with Bitcoin at the heart of its meteoric rise.

“Strategy owns more of the highest-quality asset and most reliable collateral on Earth than any other corporation, by a wide margin,” Walton remarked in an interview with the Financial Times.

Unlike most firms that deploy capital to upgrade infrastructure or cover operational costs, Strategy redirects funds raised from debt and equity into Bitcoin—turning depreciating fiat into a scarce, appreciating asset on its balance sheet.

Saylor has previously predicted Bitcoin could be worth millions per coin in the future, describing it as a supply-limited asset with outsized potential compared to unlimited fiat currencies.

Still, Bitcoin’s short-term struggle to break above $150,000 continues, which Saylor attributes to investors cashing out too early and lacking long-term belief in the asset’s trajectory.
