Eric Trump, businessman and executive vice president of the Trump Organization, made a bold prediction at the Bitcoin MENA event in Abu Dhabi on Dec. 10, stating that Bitcoin could one day reach a value of $1 million per coin.
During his keynote address, Trump described Bitcoin as a groundbreaking “financial paradigm” and a transformative global asset. He expressed optimism about its future, emphasizing its ability to “revolutionize the global economy in remarkable ways.”
Highlighting the advantages of Bitcoin, Trump pointed to its decentralized nature, scarcity, and its role as a hedge against inflation and instability. He argued that Bitcoin is much more than just another investment, calling it a “store of value” and a “global asset” immune to the inefficiencies of traditional financial systems.
“One of Bitcoin’s most important features is its finite supply—only 21 million coins. This scarcity ensures its uniqueness and growing appeal,” Trump stated, adding, “Mark my words: Bitcoin will hit $1 million. I believe it, and so does this room.”
Trump also drew parallels between Bitcoin adoption and the slow embrace of earlier disruptive technologies like email. He remarked that significant innovations often require time to gain widespread acceptance, but their eventual impact is undeniable.
Sharing a personal anecdote, Trump recounted how a friend once dismissed Bitcoin as “funny money,” only for that same friend’s bank to later establish a cryptocurrency desk and invest heavily in digital assets.
Looking ahead, Trump predicted that Bitcoin would compel banks and governments to adapt, with early adopters poised to benefit the most. He concluded by celebrating Bitcoin’s recent milestone of surpassing $100,000, applauding the dedication of the Bitcoin community.
“Bitcoiners, you have the Trump family’s full support. You are leading the charge into a brighter financial future,” he said.
